Call for Participation: Academy and Conference on Human Rights at the Local and Regional Levels Accountability in Action

The International Centre for the Promotion of Human Rights at the Local and Regional Levels under the auspices of UNESCO, and the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Human Security at the University of Graz, Austria, invite you to attend a multi-day online Academy and Conference “Human Rights Go Local: What Works” from February 5-8 2024. 

The event is co-organized with UNESCO, UN-Habitat, OHCHR, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, the African Local Governments Academy of UCLG-Africa, the Austrian Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs, the Federal Province of Styria, the City of Graz, and the University of Graz. It offers the possibility to exchange with local authorities and human rights experts from across the globe.

Participation is welcomed from  representatives of local governments (policy-making, public administration), city networks, and intermediaries, such as human rights professionals and practitioners working in all relevant sectors (eg. think tanks, academia, civil society, and international or regional organisations). 

Deadline for registration is 10 January 2024.
